Values, Culture, Healthy Masculinity & Conversations

At Round Table Connections, we focus on developing opportunities for people to connect authentically and safely. Using a Strengths Based Approach, we create space for organisations and individuals to understand the importance of Values, Culture and Values in Action, and then share and listen to each other to help grow personally, and together for the betterment of their communities.

About Dave

After 20 years in education, working with students, colleagues, parents and the wider community, I consistently came back to my CORE BELIEF that genuine and authentic connection is the key to successful personal, social and professional relationships between teams and groups.

Like any great journey, mine has included peaks and troughs. Feeling overworked and overwhelmed, and working through my own mental health challenges, I was searching for my missing piece. I found that when I truly connected, had alignment in values and culture, and could have genuine healthy conversations, I felt safe and like I belonged. Family, friends, golf, running, bad dad jokes and a good game of Jenga all played a huge part in this realisation.

I facilitated Values and Culture and Values in Action sessions with committees, teams, groups and idividuals, Strength Based Wellbeing programs, Rites of Passage, Boys and Girls Healthy Masculinity & Conversations programs.

I am genuinely passionate about working with groups, teams and individuals to help them connect and align with each other and themselves. When people feel as though they can trust, share, listen and connect, we create stronger and safer communities based around values, culture and healthy conversations that can positively impact those around us.

Our Purpose

At Round Table Connections, we facilitate conversations to develop transformation in Values, Culture, Values in Actions and Healthy Conversations. We provide safe environments for participants to share, listen and grow together, to improve outcomes in workplaces, schools and organisations in the community. Developing effectiveness in teams is crucial, and workshops allow for all members to have a voice. At its core, our purpose is to build and foster genuine connection based on agreed values and respect between people of all ages, backgrounds and genders.

RTC Simple Rules

At Round Table Connections, we follow a set of simple rules based around our belief that by sharing and listening to each other, we can grow personally and together for the community around us. Our simple rules are;

  • We will understand why we are here

  • We will create a safe space for everyone to be together

  • We will explore rather than assume

  • We will ask questions rather than judge

  • We will celebrate and learn from each other and value experiences and differences

  • We will find a way forward together

  • We will stay connected to continue the journey together.
